Colori/Harrington Table: Painted Patchwork
Inspired by the AIDS quilt we've deconstructed & modernized the quilting process via abstraction of the quilt as a painted element. Using paint as our vehicle for modernizing the quilt reflects the notion of a "fresh coat of paint" when looking for a new start in a room. The tablescape & furnishings reflect the quilting process: a collection of individuals working on a common goal, gathering around a table where everyone has an equal role in the project, the quilt being the sum of all parts. The furniture selection includes a collection of vintage chairs that have been refurbished (painted the same color with coordinating seat fabric) to represent unique individuals at each seat coming together & making an old concept new.
